Solängsskolan is a F-6 school in central Gävle, close to Boulognerskogen, Fjärran Höjderbadet, and Gävle Concert Hall. Our goal is to provide every student from preschool to grade 6 with the best possible conditions to succeed in school.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher for grades F-3, you will work with teaching, have class responsibility, and be responsible for mapping, planning, implementing, and evaluating lessons in one of our preschool classes. Part of the work also takes place in after-school care. The work is carried out according to established goals and guidelines. The job responsibilities also include mentorship and working with your colleagues to create a good, enjoyable, and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus.

You challenge and support the students so that they achieve good study results and adapt your teaching according to all students' needs and conditions. The work is carried out in collaboration with other educators, student health, guardians, and other actors outside the school.

QUALIFICATIONS

Formal qualifications:

• Teaching degree and teaching license with authorization to teach in grades F-3
• Familiarity with and knowledge of the primary school curriculum
• Experience working with digital tools
• Ability to express yourself well in Swedish in both speech and writing

• The ability to lead and motivate your students and create an environment where they thrive, feel good, and have a sense of belonging
• An inclusive working method and actively work to ensure that all students feel involved in the teaching
• The ability to create an open dialogue and adapt your language according to the situation and audience
