JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to contribute to adult learning? Come and shape Gävle's future with us! Here you will be part of an engaged workplace with people who feel joy and pride in their work. As a language coach, you provide both linguistic and cultural support to students in adult education. The role involves close collaboration with teaching teachers and sometimes participation in the classroom where you help students follow the instruction through interpretation and explanations. Support can be provided in groups or individually in a language the student masters.

The work also involves creating safety and participation, both inside and outside the classroom. As a language coach, you are an important link between the student and the teacher, helping students who do not yet master Swedish to understand goals, communicate their questions, and express their needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Formal competencies:

• Completed upper secondary education
• Good language skills in Swedish
• Very good knowledge of Dari (Afghan Persian)
• Good IT skills to support daily work

Meritorious:

• Other language skills
• Experience in similar work
• Experience in pedagogical work in a Swedish school
• Experience in care, technology, or service and trade

To succeed in the role, you have:

• A humble attitude in your collaboration with others
• Ease in adapting to changing circumstances that may arise inside and outside the classroom
• Good ability to adapt your communication in an easily understandable way
