Learning Administration is looking for a Study and Career Counselor for the Center for Development and Learning – CUL

CUL is part of the Learning Administration, which encompasses the educational activities of Hudiksvall Municipality within preschool, primary and adapted primary school, secondary and adapted secondary school, and adult education and adapted adult education. We have approximately 1200 employees and 6500 students.

Currently, 12 study and career counselors work within the municipality's primary schools, secondary school, and adult education. The study and career counselors in secondary and adult education are part of a unified unit.

Job Responsibilities

You will be part of the unified counseling unit located within the secondary school.

You have an individual focus and an outgoing working method. Your tasks include conducting counseling conversations and providing information, both individually and in groups. Collaborate with other study and career counselors in the municipality to ensure that our operations form a coherent thread throughout the school. Cooperation with teachers and other staff in general study and counseling is important for increased goal fulfillment. Collaboration also occurs to a large extent with others such as authorities, businesses, other municipalities, and other educational providers.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a degree in Study and Career Counseling.

We seek someone who has the ability to plan, organize, and conduct study and career counseling activities at both the individual and group levels. The role includes independently being responsible for planning and coordinating events such as educational and career fairs, study visits, theme days, and information efforts related to students' future choices. You have good organizational skills and can structure work from idea to implementation and follow-up, including contact with external actors such as secondary schools, universities, companies, and other partners. We place great importance on personal suitability and personal qualities such as flexibility, drive, creativity, responsibility, collaboration skills, and a solution-focused approach.

About the Administration

We teach children to read, count, and discover the world around them. We follow our youngest residents from preschool until they graduate from secondary school. Through our adult education, one can learn Swedish as a second language, take individual courses, or pursue a longer education. With joy, commitment, participation, and a scientific basis, we want to increase knowledge, creativity, development, and the desire to learn.
