Are you an expert in government governance and thrive in a role focused on collaboration and coordination? Are you driven to create simple and understandable processes that support the organization? Then this could be the role for you.

About the position

In the role of staff officer, you will be responsible for supporting the board and the director general in leading and managing the authority. You will coordinate both the dialogue with the Government Offices and the authority's views on new government assignments, regulatory letters, and consultations. Furthermore, you will help develop the authority's internal routines regarding the responsibilities of the director general's staff, for example, in preparing cases. You will plan, coordinate, and prepare materials for meetings with the board, the director general, and their management group, as well as prepare materials in cross-authority governance and strategic issues, including the authority's annual budget documentation.

The E-Health Agency is an authority in growth and change, which gives you the opportunity to contribute to developing the agency's governance and working methods. You will collaborate with many functions within the agency as well as with external actors, primarily the Government Offices. This makes you a central player and gives you insight into the agency's entire operations. The director general's staff consists of a total of five employees, and the department has about 65 employees.

About you

We are looking for someone who easily collaborates and builds relationships at all levels of the organization and with external actors. You take responsibility for your own work and drive processes while creating engagement and participation among colleagues. You have a good overall perspective and a broad, strategic view of your tasks. At the same time, you have a good sense of order and the ability to prioritize and work under high pressure for shorter periods. As we are in growth and change, we also see that you have an interest in simplifying processes.

We are looking for you who have:

  • a university degree of at least 180 credits (120 old points) in political science, law, economics, or another relevant field
  • several years of current experience in government governance
  • good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious for the position if you have:

  • experience in staff management or other management coordination
  • experience in governance of digitization-related issues
  • experience in independently leading and driving simplification and development work within government governance.
