Unit Manager for the Development Management Unit

Responsibilities and Tasks
As the unit manager for the new Development Management Unit, your mission will be to take a comprehensive approach to the Payment Authority's overall development.
Your leadership will be crucial in how we develop a cohesive, innovative, and future-proof authority. You will be responsible for leading and coordinating the authority's overall business development and business architecture, developing the authority's innovation work, coordinating the authority's operational and tactical planning, and ensuring a unified development management and prioritization across the entire authority. You will have operational and personnel responsibility within the framework of the unit's mission. The role is located within the newly established department for management and development management. The department also includes the security unit, communication and collaboration unit, and management staff.
The unit serves as a strategic tool for the Director General and management to drive specific development initiatives and ensure that the authority remains at the forefront of technology and methodology. You are responsible for creating structure, governance, and long-term direction in the development work while ensuring implementation capacity. The work is carried out in close collaboration with other departments and managers, where you are expected to be a unifying force that creates coherence, prioritization, and clarity.
We are looking for someone who has
- A relevant academic degree as assessed by the employer.
- At least three years of experience leading strategic development work.
- At least three years of experience with personnel responsibility, including at least one year for specialists.
- Experience working with business architecture, digitalization, or innovation management.
- Excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.
It is an advantage if you also have
- Experience working with governance and decision-making processes in the public sector.
- Experience building new functions or organizations.
- Experience leading larger cross-agency projects or programs.
- Experience developing operations where agile methods dominate.
Desired Abilities and Skills
To succeed in the role of unit manager, we see that you are confident in your leadership and have good collaboration skills. You are strategic, structured, and clear. Furthermore, you have high integrity, are development-oriented, and have the ability to see the big picture.
Other Information
The workplace is in Stockholm. The authority is located in modern premises near Gullmarsplan. The position is a permanent full-time employment with a six-month probationary period. Security clearance may be required. You may be assigned to the authority in case of war. Psychological tests will be conducted during the recruitment process.
