Unit Manager for the Employment Unit in Järfälla Municipality

Do you want to help shape the future of employment initiatives in Järfälla Municipality? As the unit manager for the employment unit, you will play a central role in a development journey where you lead with security, warmth, and courage. You will work closely with the employment manager and employees, becoming a key person in building strong collaborative platforms that make a real difference for the municipality's residents.

The employment unit is part of the Social Administration and is responsible for initiatives for individuals who are outside the labor market, as well as coordinating the municipality's summer jobs for youth. The unit is led by the Employment Manager and currently consists of 15 employees, including a team leader.

The employment unit is expanding and developing its operations and is now appointing a new role as unit manager as part of the unit's development. We are looking for someone who, with full managerial responsibility, wants to help develop, drive, and lead the work forward.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The role involves leading the unit through change and development in close collaboration with the employment manager and employees, focusing on creating long-term and sustainable solutions for the municipality's residents. You will:

• Initiate and implement new initiatives and working methods together with employees
• Lead and develop the employment unit with personnel, budget, and operational responsibility
• Work closely with the employment manager and employees to ensure a well-functioning and cohesive operation
• Drive development issues and ensure that the operation meets set goals and that the unit develops in line with the overall goals of the social administration
• Initiate, develop, and follow up on large collaborative platforms, both internally and externally, where cooperation and partnership are crucial for success

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a flexible, secure, and courageous leader with experience in leadership and employment issues. Formally, you have:

• Relevant higher education such as a social worker or another higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent
• Experience in a leadership role
• Knowledge and experience in employment issues
• Experience and ability to lead through change and create engagement among employees
• Very good ability to collaborate and cooperate, as well as to build and develop relationships both internally and externally
• Strong communication skills and experience working in complex collaborative environments

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working within social administration
• Knowledge of Supported Employment, IPS, and BIP
• Management experience with full managerial responsibility

To succeed in this role, you need to have excellent collaboration skills, be unpretentious in your leadership, and easily collaborate across organizational and professional boundaries.
