We are looking for a very important person for Forsheda school to teach in the special education group.

Forsheda school is a 7-9 school with about 200 students. The school has suitable facilities for good learning and is characterized by a pleasant, calm, and welcoming atmosphere. Forsheda's student health team is located at the school, which is a great benefit for the students' well-being. The student health team includes a counselor, school nurse, special educator, special teacher, study and career counselor, and principal. One of our goals is to increase the quality of education, develop new working methods, and enhance the desire to learn with the help of ICT tools/compensatory aids along with regular teaching materials.

Responsibilities

Forsheda school is looking for a teacher tasked with building a special education group for students in grades 7-9. You will become a key person for the work both around and within our newly started special education group. We will shape the assignment together based on your skills, strengths, and interests. The important thing in this assignment is more that you are the right person with the right personality and attitude than a long CV. You need to enjoy interacting with young people while networking with your colleagues at the school.

• Participate in the establishment of the special education group.
• Plan and start teaching in the special education group.
• Collaborate with the student health team, other teachers, and work teams at the school.
• Be part of work teams and professional networks.
• Build good relationships with students and guardians.

In this assignment with primary responsibility for planning and leading the work in the school's special education group, we are looking for more of a personality than a specific professional role. It is important that you have experience in teaching in similar assignments. You need to be a secure person with both feet on the ground. You stand firm and work long-term both around the individual, group, and organization.

Eligibility and experience:

• Qualified and licensed special teacher/teacher with a focus on early ages.
• Subject qualifications in Swedish, English, and mathematics.
• Didactic knowledge regarding reading and writing learning.
• Experience in teaching in a special education group.
• Fluent in Swedish in both speech and writing.

Meritorious:

• Special educational competence.
• Experience leading work in a special education group.
• Experience working with early reading and writing learning.
