Vehicle Instructor/Traffic Instructor at Göta Engineer Regiment (Ing 2)
Are you a qualified traffic instructor looking to contribute your skills to a vital societal function? The Swedish Armed Forces are on an extensive growth journey and we now need to strengthen the team with an additional civilian traffic instructor. Does this sound interesting? Read on!
Ing 2 trains officers and soldiers for engineer units with special competencies to perform qualified fieldwork for national and international tasks. We conduct annual military basic training for conscripts with heavy vehicle systems and larger machinery. We also conduct internal training for soldiers, officers, and civilian employees on various vehicle systems each year.
About the Position
The Vehicle Department is organized under the Garrison Unit and has the primary task of training drivers within vehicle service. The department is also responsible for tailored vehicle training and serves as a resource for the entire garrison regarding vehicle service and traffic safety. As a traffic instructor, you play an important role in training officers, soldiers, and civilians in the traffic and vehicle area.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct instruction for the garrison's vehicle drivers, both through theoretical and practical training regarding both light and heavy vehicles
- Provide guidance, training, and support within the framework of vehicle training for all personnel categories
- Support the garrison's work on traffic safety
- Plan and conduct traffic safety training and traffic safety campaigns
- Provide support and participate in certain exercise activities
Requirements
- Have traffic instructor training or vocational teacher training and be qualified to teach for heavier licenses (C/CE).
- Pedagogical education and experience in training larger groups
- C/CE driver's license
Meritorious
- YKB instructor
- ADR instructor
- Motorcycle instructor
- Instructor for wheel loader, excavator, truck, crane
- Risk training instructor
- Experience working in the Swedish Armed Forces, FAK, FMCK, Bilkåristerna
- Completed military service or basic military training
- Military driver's license
