Höglandsförbundet – Collaboration is our strength!

Höglandsförbundet is a municipal federation formed by Aneby, Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda. These five municipalities, located in Småland, value cooperation and know that we are stronger together. By combining our strengths and resources, we can increase competence, better utilize resources, improve quality, and provide better service to our residents. Today, we have a range of different activities working for the benefit of the entire Höglandet.

Within Höglandsförbundet, there is also Höglandets educational collaboration, which currently consists of Höglandsgymnasiet with schools in Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda. In total, we have about 550 employees working to ensure that our approximately 3000 students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for the future in the workforce or for further studies. In the summer of 2026, Höglandets adult education will also join, which will be available in Sävsjö, Eksjö, and Nässjö.

Your new job

For our electrical and energy program, we are looking for a new teacher who can teach electrical engineering and industrial technology, as well as other subjects that match your expertise in electricity. You will work in a team where we collectively strive for our students' success in their education. In your role, you will plan and conduct lessons and contribute to the continuous development of our program to remain relevant for our students and their future employers.

About you

We are looking for someone who has completed education in electricity, at least at the high school level. You need to have some, preferably several, years of experience working in the industry with good professional knowledge, and if you have a vocational teacher's degree and certification, it is an advantage. If you lack a vocational teacher's degree, we encourage you to pursue further education while working with us. Previous experience working with lifts and hot work is advantageous, as is professional experience in industrial electrical work. Authorization in A or AL is also advantageous. A B driver's license is a requirement.

As a person, you take responsibility for your tasks and structure and plan your work independently. You find it easy to work with others. Based on the assignment, it is important that you have a good understanding of how our students absorb knowledge and that you can adapt your teaching style according to the different conditions of the students.

About our school

Brinellgymnasiet is located in Nässjö and is one of five schools within Höglandsgymnasiet. Together, we improve competence, raise quality, and provide high school students with even better conditions for success.

At Brinellgymnasiet, we have about 200 employees and approximately 1100 students. We offer 14 national programs and have a national sports high school in bowling, national sports education in bandy and basketball, as well as local sports education in basketball, football, and ice hockey.

Our guiding principles are respect, responsibility, knowledge, and well-being. We strive for structure in teaching, to maintain a calm working environment in lessons, and to ensure that our students feel safe and comfortable with us. The school has a newly renovated modern library that is an important part of the educational activities.

Good to know

The position is permanent and full-time, starting August 11, 2026.

To ensure that all new employees in our teaching positions have the right qualifications, we ask you to attach a valid teaching certification obtained from the Swedish National Agency for Education that is no older than two months.

As a final candidate in the recruitment process, it is a requirement, in accordance with the Education Act, that you present an extract from the criminal record for work in schools. This extract can be requested on the police's website.

If you are called for an interview, you need to be able to prove your citizenship. You do this by presenting a valid passport or a personal certificate along with a valid ID. Personal certificates can be ordered from the tax agency under my pages. If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EES/Switzerland, you must also be able to present a valid residence and/or work permit to work in Sweden. Employment can only occur after the work permit has been verified, in accordance with the Aliens Ordinance.
