If you are a newly graduated preschool teacher, you will be assigned a mentor to ensure a good start in your profession.

Preschool Eken is a preschool close to both nature and culture. It is centrally located in the Itolv area, where we have a library, forest, playground, and much more within reach, which we utilize in our daily activities at Preschool Eken. The preschool has four departments, where we work in a research-based, investigative manner and greatly benefit from collegial learning to achieve an equal education of high quality. We work based on a project-oriented approach, and our goal is to offer a preschool with a learning environment that inspires, develops, and challenges children's learning.

For us, community is important, and together we create a safe, fun, and educational preschool at Eken.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of a preschool teacher involves a particular pedagogical responsibility to plan, implement, document, and evaluate education based on the Education Act, curriculum, and operational plan.

• Provide each child with safe care and promote all children's development and learning.
• Ensure that each child has a real influence over methods and content.
• Ensure that the content, design, and implementation of development talks align with national goals.

You contribute to optimal learning both academically and emotionally, where we together develop a project-oriented approach based on children's thoughts and hypotheses. Collegial learning helps us create a shared understanding and consensus to enable optimal conditions for both children and staff to develop and succeed. At Eken, we work in teams, but also in collaboration with the entire preschool, to collectively help achieve our goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed preschool teacher.

As a preschool teacher, you have a good understanding of the governing documents that underpin preschool work. You are responsible and knowledgeable about systematic quality work. You have a positive attitude, good collaboration skills, and you communicate from a solution-focused perspective in every meeting with colleagues, children, and guardians. You are open to learning from others and contribute your own knowledge and experience.

Your pedagogical relationships are based on attentiveness and dialogue.

It is a given for you to work systematically with pedagogical documentation as a tool. You are comfortable with digital technology as a tool and approach. If you have specific competencies that are beneficial in teaching, we are always curious for you to share them.
