Lead Teacher for New Resource School in Månsarp

Jönköping Municipality is a large employer with hundreds of different job roles. We are growing in line with the municipality's development, with more residents, more housing, and a larger offering. We are always on the lookout for new talent - employees with diverse backgrounds and experiences, united by the common drive to create a better municipality to visit, live, work, and reside in.

The joy of learning starts with you.

Do you want to contribute to equal education, higher goal fulfillment, and inspire a joyful learning experience? Are you ready to take the next step in your teaching role? Then this job is for you!

Your new job

As a lead teacher, you will be a driving force in development and pedagogical issues and play a key role in leading collegial learning. You will primarily work with teaching and tasks related to teaching. You will initiate and drive school and teaching improvements aimed at developing education and be a good role model for the team in everyday pedagogical work. You will work systematically to plan, implement, follow up, analyze, and thereby improve teaching and develop the operation. The teaching will be characterized by language-developing methods and accessible learning, as these are fundamental to students' learning and development.

We are looking for a lead teacher who will help develop the school's work with reading and writing; a lead teacher with a linguistic focus. You will lead learning groups during professional development, be a team leader, and mentor for new educators. Together with school management, special educators, and special teachers, you will drive SKA work to continuously develop our school.

Your role as a lead teacher at our resource school is not only an exciting challenge but also an opportunity to make a real difference for our students and their education in Jönköping.

Welcome to us

We are starting a brand new resource school in Månsarp, a safe and specially adapted learning environment for about 20 students in grades 1-6 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Here, students will meet engaged staff, modern newly renovated facilities, and a working method that is based on each student's strengths and needs. The school will be part of the Nordskogen school area and will be led by the principal and vice principal in close collaboration.

At our new resource school, we focus on providing students with ASD the opportunity to develop based on their individual needs and conditions. Our mission is to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for each student. By promoting a positive learning environment, we want to give students the tools they need to thrive and develop. We strive to provide students with the best possible conditions for the future.

Your qualifications

You have worked as a certified teacher in Swedish for at least four years. As a lead teacher, you collaborate well with management and develop shared leadership in the workplace and are a good ambassador for both the workplace and your employer. You are flexible and can work in different teams and across the municipality. Basic IT skills are a requirement, and you use ICT as a natural part of teaching.

You have a strong commitment to students' learning and development and want to make a real difference. You are a clear and attentive leader who builds good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You communicate well, enjoy collaborating, and work formatively with both analog and digital tools.

As a person, you are unpretentious, responsible, and want to strengthen collegial learning together with school management. You have a salutogenic approach, thrive in a changing environment, and are ready to meet the challenges that come with building a school for this student group.
