Your new job

Now there is an opportunity for you who want to teach at Erik Dahlbergsgymnasiet to become part of our school. You will teach students in Swedish/Swedish as a second language and English in the vocational introduction program (IMY) focused on healthcare and property services. Together with us, you will create environments that promote students' learning and development and actively participate in the development of the IMY program.

In IMY, there are smaller teaching groups, with a high teacher-to-student ratio. We work closely with students in teams consisting of teachers and EHT. The teams work with low-affect responses and we have a holistic perspective. It is expected of you as a teacher to be flexible and take responsibility for the students' entire school situation, even outside the classroom. We tailor a study plan for each student where we try to meet the student's specific needs. Therefore, you should have good communication skills with the students and a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and their different conditions for doing so.

Examples of job responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the educational content in lessons with students.
• Plan, implement, and follow up on teaching within one or more subject areas.
• Improve teaching together with teams or teaching colleagues.
• Map students' knowledge levels, as well as document their development.
• Ensure that teaching is conducted according to the curriculum and other governing documents.
• Develop students' abilities, knowledge, and self-confidence.
• Build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

Erik Dahlbergsgymnasiet is the largest upper secondary school in Jönköping Municipality. Approximately 1600 students attend our school, spread across four college preparatory programs, two vocational programs, and two vocational introduction programs. Your qualifications

We are looking for someone with a relevant degree and is a certified primary or secondary school teacher. You are flexible and interested in different solutions and the opportunities they provide. You enjoy challenging yourself, trying, and being part of developing new working methods both to meet different students and to develop the program, education, and school. You have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.

Your ability to work with student motivation is highly valued, so it is very meritorious if you have experience working with students who need special support. We also expect you to actively work to create conditions for students to benefit from teaching in the best possible way. Our expectations for all teachers are that they strive for good relationships with our students and work for a good study environment in the classroom.
