Choir leader wanted for the fall of 2026 for a Musical Choir in Jönköping

About the position:

Hello!

We are looking for a cheerful and dedicated choir leader for our Musical Choir in Jönköping.

The choir is for everyone, completely without auditions, and is aimed at adults who want to sing and share their interest with others.

Songs are already prepared with harmonies, recordings, lyrics, sheet music, etc., allowing you to focus solely on taking care of the members on-site without worrying about preparations.

Who are you?

You love working with people and are driven by helping individuals to dare more and believe in themselves. You believe that singing can be a path to well-being and are happy to support people wherever they are in their singing development. You believe in the power of choral singing and its ability to unite people.

We believe that you always come with a smile and know that when you engage with the students, this might be their best moment of the whole week. We believe you understand not to get stuck on individual harmonies but rather let the joy of singing flow in the room.

You have a degree as a singing teacher or equivalent.

Who are we?

VocalLife has led various types of singing activities for over 10 years, primarily in Lund but also in cities across Sweden, such as Malmö, Jönköping, Örebro, Norrköping, Helsingborg, etc. We love to unite people through song.

We know that when people sing together, we create a better and healthier society that benefits both the singer and those around them.

Moreover, in an increasingly digital world, places that unite people are among the most important things there are.

We love helping people grow through the community of song.

Compensation and future:

We would prefer that you have a business and can invoice us, but we can also create a temporary position based on hours if that suits you better.

If you want to lead multiple choirs in your area, this could also be an opportunity.

We hope for a long-term collaboration. Therefore, we want to create the possibility for you, if desired, to eventually change our agreement to a permanent position and also add singing lessons, vocal ensembles, group singing, etc., in your area if that is of interest. This is something we can discuss based on your wishes and our possibilities and see what solutions we can find together.

The position currently involves a few hours a week. We hope you have another job on the side as your main income.
