About the job

At Ur och Skurskolan Skattkammarön, an outdoor school in Norrköping that started in 2006, we have a warm school atmosphere with a profile in outdoor pedagogy. Our teaching is based on the unique pedagogy of I Ur och Skur and Friluftsfrämjandet. The proximity to nature and water provides great opportunities for conducting lessons outside the classroom. Nearby, we also have both Stadium Arena, the ice rink, and the library, which we often take advantage of.

The school is located next to SMHI, in the growing district of Sandtorp, with good connections to central Norrköping.

We have 145 students in grades F-9. The teaching groups consist of 12–18 students. We have an open and helpful faculty where team spirit and collaboration are in focus.

We are looking for an engaged mathematics teacher to cover for our regular teacher on parental leave and would like you to also teach other subjects and want to be part of our team in the upper grades – preferably with a passion for nature and outdoor pedagogy!

Your responsibilities

As a teacher at Skattkammarön, you are responsible for planning your subjects as well as implementing and following up on teaching based on the student's needs. You also collaborate with other colleagues regarding the student's knowledge development. You actively participate in the school's and the work team's various common tasks, where you contribute with your ideas and experience.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher for grades 7–9 or 4–9 and have experience teaching in these grades. As a person, you are a natural leader who creates engagement and participation around you. It is of great importance that you easily create contacts and maintain relationships with students and colleagues. Furthermore, we also see that you are driven and persistent in striving towards set goals despite challenges along the way.

You have documented and good leadership skills. You have experience in leadership roles whether within or outside of school. It is an advantage if you have experience providing special support in the form of extraordinary efforts.
