Who are we?

De Geers school, built in 1862, is Norrköping's oldest public school and today a F–3 school with after-school care in two departments. The school is centrally located on the city's school street, Södra Promenaden. Our premises have been carefully renovated and adapted to meet the needs of the operations. The schoolyard invites both play and movement.

At De Geers school, we start from a holistic view of the student, where our vision is based on joy, safety, curiosity, and learning. We particularly prioritize reading and movement as important parts of the students' development.

Your responsibilities

As a special teacher focusing on NPF/IF, you are an important person in our work to meet the students who have particularly large challenges in school and learning. You work with students individually, in groups, and in regular classes. You work closely with students, colleagues, and guardians to create a safe, clear, and accessible learning environment.

You plan, implement, and follow up on teaching adapted for students with NPF/IF. You map students' needs and develop clear, concrete adaptations and structures. You guide and support other staff in their work with approaches, attitudes, and pedagogy within NPF/IF.

You collaborate with student health, mentors, guardians, and other functions to find sustainable solutions around the students. You are involved in developing working methods, routines, and learning environments – here you get to influence for real.

Who are you?

You are a licensed teacher with a special teacher degree and a focus on students with NPF and intellectual disabilities. We prefer that you have at least 2–3 years of experience working with students with NPF and/or IF, for example, in adapted primary school.

You have documented experience in mentoring staff within NPF/IF. You have good knowledge of the school's governing documents and how they are implemented in practice.

You have a calm, clear, and curious demeanor, where you like structure but can also think flexibly when reality demands it. You are skilled in documentation regarding students.

You have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
