Are you our next dedicated leisure teacher?

Do you want to create a safe, creative, and educational everyday life for our students? Jurslaskolan is a dual-parallel school with classes from preschool to grade 6 and leisure activities. The school is located in a lovely environment with a large, renovated schoolyard and proximity to nature. We manage a plot near Lillsjön where there are windbreaks, gathering places, and a fire pit so that classes can also cook their lunch there. The outdoor environment is used as an important element in pedagogical activities. The school also has a school library.

We have a language-developing approach and focus on making students' learning visible, challenging students in teaching, increasing participation, and developing the ability to take responsibility. We use strategies from cooperative learning to create collaborative forms that benefit learning. At the school, we actively work to include all students, and the safety team is an important part of the proactive work around safety and well-being.

Jurslaskolan is also a training school with many qualified supervisors.

Your Responsibilities

As a leisure teacher with us, you have a shared assignment between school and leisure where you are expected to have close collaboration with all your colleagues. Together with the leisure team, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating leisure activities as well as the compensatory assignment towards the school.

You meet the students in close collaboration with colleagues and follow their learning and development throughout the day. Through your pedagogical leadership, you contribute to study joy and a safe learning environment.

Your role also includes supporting students in their development and learning both during lesson time and in leisure. This may include support at both the individual and group level. We expect you to teach in the subject you are qualified in at leisure. Depending on your wishes and the needs of the operation, you may also be asked to teach in the subject you are qualified in during school hours.

You take overall responsibility for the activities and the students, with a clear focus on school development.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who wants to be part of our leisure activities. You are an educated leisure pedagogue or a certified teacher in leisure.

You are a clear leader and find it easy to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. You see school development as a natural part of your work. You have a desire to develop in your work and are well acquainted with the school's governing documents.

As a person, you work well with others, are creative and initiative-taking, and at the same time structured. You are calm and stable and have a flexible working style. You easily adapt to changing circumstances and take great responsibility for your tasks.

You inspire and motivate both students and colleagues, encouraging others to achieve their goals and purposes.

We want you to see opportunities in changes and have a positive and accommodating attitude.

The work also requires pedagogical insight to meet students in need of special support, and developed knowledge of approaches that promote students' knowledge creation and development. We would like you to have competence and experience working with students in need of special support, where knowledge of low-arousal approaches and NPF is a prerequisite.

Welcome with your application!
