Art Teacher Wanted at Hultdalsskolan

Do you want to inspire young people to express themselves creatively and develop their skills in art? We are now looking for an engaged and relationship-building art teacher for our school to teach grades 7–9.

Who are we?

Hultdalsskolan is a 7-9 school located in Åby, about ten kilometers north of Norrköping. Approximately 370 students attend our school, divided into 14 classes. Here, learning and safety are our focus!

Our common rules and goals are clear and contribute to a good working environment for both students and staff. Starting from the autumn term of 2024, we will be a mobile-free school, which has further contributed to increased safety and study focus.

We have over 40 employees who together create the best conditions for our students. The teachers are divided into three teams, one for each grade. In addition to the teaching teams, there is a team of special educators who, together with the student health team and attendance team, are there to support both students and educators in their daily work.

Your Responsibilities

As an art teacher, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on art instruction in accordance with applicable governing documents. You will actively work to create a safe, creative, and inclusive learning environment where students are given the opportunity to develop both their practical and theoretical skills.

The position includes teaching in another subject depending on your qualifications.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who has a teaching license with qualifications to teach art for grades 7–9. You are qualified in another subject, and we consider it an advantage if your second qualification is in home economics for grades 7–9. You preferably have experience in pedagogical work.

To thrive and succeed in this role, we see that you are a safe, clear, and structured leader in the classroom, and you are passionate about teaching and inspiring students in your subjects. Furthermore, you are attentive and skilled at creating and developing good relationships and have a good ability to collaborate with both colleagues and students as well as guardians.

You are flexible and have drive, perseverance, and a solution-focused approach. You are well-versed in the school's governing documents and have a professional attitude, considering both the individual's and the organization's best interests.

You have good communication skills and can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
