Your Responsibilities

Your starting point as a preschool teacher is to have overall pedagogical responsibility in the preschool. You are expected to lead and distribute the pedagogical work within the team while contributing to creating collegial learning. The team will work together to plan, teach, document, and evaluate the content of the activities based on the preschool's curriculum and other governing documents.

As a preschool teacher, you promote each child's development and learning based on their interests, experiences, and needs. You create curiosity and a desire to learn, both during planned activities and spontaneous moments.

Your role involves close collaboration with colleagues and guardians, as well as potential contacts with other actors concerning the child.

As a preschool teacher in Linköping Municipality, you help shape the future for our children. In preschool, we provide children with security, teach them to explore the world, and help them grow. In our mission, we utilize children's ideas, thoughts, and interests to engage them in teaching. The preschools in Linköping Municipality have a joint school development effort where all our preschools contribute to the development of teaching. We work, among other things, to develop environments in preschools that stimulate children's imagination and learning. Children's language development is a prioritized goal within preschool, where various joint initiatives are made. The preschools work, among other things, with language development efforts and language-rich learning environments. This is a long-term investment in Linköping Municipality, where employees are continuously offered further training in the area.

We are now looking for preschool teachers for the areas of Brokind (Melskogsvägen 32), Valkebo 1, Ljungsbro 2, Skäggetorp 1 and 2. Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who has a preschool teacher certification, has a degree from a preschool teacher education program, or is in the final stages of their preschool teacher education. It is a requirement that you have experience working with children in a curriculum-based preschool through internships, employment, or volunteer work.

For some of our operations, public transport is limited, and it is required that you have a driver's license and access to a car. However, several of the operations have good public transport options, so you are welcome to apply even if you do not have one.

You have good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish. This is necessary for you to organize and carry out the work according to the curriculum (Lpfö18) so that the child receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each child can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

In your role as a preschool teacher, you create good relationships and collaborate well with children, colleagues, guardians, and other community contacts that occur in your professional role. You have a good understanding of people's differences and relate to them in a responsive manner in teaching and the daily life of the preschool. You lead the work with both children and colleagues through motivation, engagement, and participation. The role also means that you, together with your colleagues, will work with applicable goals and quality standards for preschool.
