Medical Secretary Wanted at NU Healthcare

NU Healthcare is part of the Västra Götaland Region and is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Northern Älvsborg County Hospital) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital's catchment area includes 280,000 residents. Together, we are about 5,000 employees who work every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare. We are located on the west coast, and our area offers varied nature with both sea, mountains, forests, and lakes.

Our orthopedic secretariat currently consists of 18 medical secretaries and one administrative assistant.

We work closely with both outpatient and inpatient departments at Uddevalla Hospital and NÄL and are an important part of the care chain. With us, you will be part of an engaged team where work is done both independently and collaboratively with colleagues.

We are now looking for a medical secretary for a longer temporary position

As a medical secretary with us, you will work in a varied and fast-paced role that includes:

• Mail handling
• Medical documentation and dictation
• Registration and booking in patient administrative systems
• Quality registers
• Referral management
• Handling SDK (Secure Digital Communication)

The work is diverse and influenced by the needs of the organization, task switching, and real-time documentation.

You will work both independently and alongside experienced colleagues and receive a secure introduction tailored to your experiences.

About you

We are looking for someone with an approved education in health and medical care administration, 80p KY/400p YH or equivalent education for medical secretaries.

You have a strong service mindset, find it easy to collaborate with others, and thrive in fast-paced workdays. You recognize the value of building good relationships with all professional categories and can adapt to new conditions and situations. In pressured situations, you easily adjust and prioritize your work based on the needs of the organization.

It is advantageous if you have knowledge of the medical record system Melior and the patient administrative system Elvis.

We appreciate if you are curious about digitalization and have good experience with digital systems. We welcome your participation in the development of routines and working methods.

To ensure we can provide our patients with good and safe care, it is important that our employees have good language skills and can communicate well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
