This is a position for you who want to work with qualified and varied tasks within government accounting. You will be part of the unit for finance and procurement, where you have significant responsibility and work independently in close collaboration with the accounting manager, two accountants, and two financial controllers. What does the position entail?

As an accountant with us, you will play a central role in the finance function, contributing to creating reliable and qualitative accounting that serves as the basis for important decisions. This includes:

• taking responsibility for parts of the ongoing accounting and working systematically with routines to ensure high quality in the accounting
• conducting year-end work and accruals
• performing reconciliations and following up and analyzing
• producing reports and analyses, including Hermes reporting and other external reporting
• providing internal support to colleagues and assisting the organization with finance-related questions
• participating in and driving part of the unit's development and improvement projects, contributing to new working methods and the use of new technology.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who has:

• relevant post-secondary education in finance, or equivalent knowledge gained through professional experience that we consider comparable
• several years of experience and good knowledge of work in accounting, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and economic flows and processes
• good knowledge of Excel and experience using Excel as a working tool
• excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and good knowledge of English.

It is an advantage if you have experience in government accounting and working with Unit4 ERP. Experience in development or improvement work within the finance area, such as streamlining work processes, working with automation in financial systems, or implementing new systems and modules, is also meritorious.

Our offer

You will receive a permanent position with an employer that offers all the benefits of the state. The employment is full-time and begins with a six-month probationary period. We will agree together on when you start.

We have a modern activity-based office at Sankt Eriksgatan 117 in Stockholm, which offers good opportunities for both quiet work and conversations and meetings with colleagues.
