Stenungsund Municipality is an expanding coastal municipality with approximately 28,030 inhabitants, a strong business community, residential environments close to the sea, and good communication opportunities. The municipality has a well-developed cultural and association life as well as good conditions for outdoor activities and recreation. The municipality's vision is to reach 35,000 inhabitants by 2035. Stenungsund Municipality is part of the Gothenburg Region's Municipal Association, which is a forum for cooperation and exchange of experiences, as well as several other inter-municipal collaborations.

The municipality is organized into an administration with four sectors. The Social Services Sector includes four operations: Special housing/municipal health and medical care, Ordinary housing/personal assistance, Disabilities, and Individual and family care.

The Family Support Unit is part of Individual and Family Care in Stenungsund. The unit consists of Family Therapists and Parent Advisors, who work with both interventions in the form of personal support in open forms and interventions without individual needs assessment. The unit also includes Family Counseling, school social workers in the School Social Team, Crime Prevention for children and youth, as well as coordinators and parent supporters from the Family Center.

Together, we actively work to further develop our efforts regarding family and parenting support - both concerning interventions in the form of personal support in open forms and interventions without individual needs assessment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Family therapy is always based on the needs of the child/youth. As a Family Therapist, you will work with qualified change work aimed at parents with children and youth aged 0-18 years. The assignment involves varied and meaningful work where you meet children, youth, and their families in different life situations. Family therapy is a voluntary intervention, and as a Family Therapist, you will work with flexible tailored interventions. You will work with a qualified therapeutic approach based on the needs of the child/youth/parents. The work is grounded in a systems theory framework.

We have close cooperation with colleagues within social services and other important actors regarding the child and family and value good collaboration skills.

In Stenungsund, we are in an exciting development phase and actively work to further develop our assessed and non-assessed interventions. You will work with both interventions in the form of personal support in open forms and interventions without individual needs assessment. The work varies based on current needs and is in constant development.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role of Family Therapist, you should be curious, brave, empathetic, and attentive. You should be responsible, independent, and have a good ability to build relationships. You need to see opportunities in changes. We would like you to have a systems theory foundation with a salutogenic approach. You also need to be good at structuring, planning, and prioritizing your work.

You who apply are a social worker, social educator (3-year) university education, or have other relevant education deemed equivalent by the employer.

You should have previous experience working as a Family Therapist.

You master the Swedish language at a good level in both speech and writing and hold a B driver's license.

It is advantageous if you have further education in the field, preferably systems theory training such as Family Therapy and/or other manual-based methods aimed at conducting change work such as ABC, COS-P, KIBB, Safer Children, Conversations about violence with perpetrators, and MI.

It is also advantageous if you have previous experience documenting in the Lifecare system.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
