Habilitation is specialized health and medical care for children and adolescents with autism, intellectual disabilities, movement disabilities, or acquired brain injuries. We provide health-promoting and therapeutic interventions based on each individual's unique needs and circumstances, and we have specialist knowledge of how disabilities can affect daily life, health, and development.

Description

The habilitation is a specialized unit in outpatient care that investigates, treats, and follows up on health problems related to various disabilities or acquired brain injuries.

We work person-centered, where the patient, relatives, and involved professionals jointly formulate goals for current interventions, focusing on creating value for the patient, good accessibility, and a positive response.

We are now looking for a social worker for the Habilitation for children and adolescents in Borås. The position is a permanent employment at 100%.

Responsibilities

Your task will be to closely collaborate with children/adolescents, parents, and other professional groups within the team to plan and implement interventions that are then evaluated. Interventions for children/adolescents can be provided individually or in groups during limited treatment periods. The work is varied. The social worker conducts psychosocial work, which includes crisis and support conversations as well as assessments regarding mental health and treatment. Information about community support and network work. The work can be both preventive and supportive/treatment-oriented. You will be offered an introductory period and good opportunities for collegial supervision as well as regular professional meetings.

Qualifications

You who apply should be an educated social worker, preferably with several years of professional experience. Experience working with children and adolescents with disabilities is an advantage. Good knowledge of the diagnoses of cognitive developmental disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and/or movement disabilities and related needs is an advantage. It is also advantageous if you are an educated health and medical care social worker. As we have a multicultural patient base, it is beneficial if you have experience and interest in working from a multicultural perspective. It is desirable that you have experience working in interdisciplinary teams. The work as a social worker involves collaboration between different professional groups and other healthcare providers as well as the municipality, which places high demands on both independence and good collaboration skills. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Since travel is involved in the position, a B driver's license is required.
