We are looking for a support assistant for our short-term activities for children and youth located in Gråbo in Lerum Municipality. In September 2026, we will move to our newly built short-term facility in Floda.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a support assistant, you will work with the user during their stay at the short-term facility by creating a comprehensible, manageable, and meaningful existence and by working preventively and in a structured manner.

In your role as a support assistant, you are responsible for establishing, implementing, and following up on routines, action plans, implementation plans, and activity descriptions with the support of a support pedagogue.

You encourage and work for good collaboration with other individuals around the user, such as guardians, social workers, schools, etc.

You will work on a schedule, which means daytime, evening, sleeping on-call, and working every other weekend.

It may occur that you, if needed, perform work within the other units of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

For the position of support assistant, it is required that you have a degree from a support assistant program, the Health and Care program, or the Child and Leisure program. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary education in the area of disabilities that includes at least 200 higher education credits, alternatively 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and service for people with disabilities.

Communication is an important part of the job, which requires that you can and are comfortable expressing yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.

Experience and knowledge of working with AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication) and Low-Arousal Approach is meritorious.

Experience working as a support assistant in similar operations is meritorious.

Excursions by car or minibus occur, and therefore a manual driving license is a requirement.

Before an employment offer, a certificate from the Police Authority's criminal record must be presented.
