Family Therapist to Social Services

The Social Services is expanding the workgroup for Counseling and Support with an additional family therapist.

About the Position

As a family therapist at the social administration's Counseling and Support, you will meet children, adolescents, families, and adults facing difficulties and challenges in their lives.

The Counseling and Support team consists of a total of nine employees, of which six are family therapists, two are social pedagogues at the family center, and one is a coordinator for early interventions.

In connection with the new Social Services Act coming into force, the social administration has gradually begun to shift from a work primarily based on assistance decisions to more interventions without assistance decisions with a promoting and preventive approach. The coordinator for early interventions is a hub in the cross-administrative work to initiate promoting, preventive, and early interventions, and the operation now needs to be expanded to meet the needs.

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting as soon as possible or by agreement.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in Social Work or other education and experience deemed equivalent by the employer.

Experience in psychosocial change work within municipal social services, group activities according to methods such as Relapse Prevention, CRAFT, ACT, ABC, ABC-Teen, and other evidence-based methods such as FFT is an advantage.

The work places high demands on being secure in yourself, being able to take initiative, find solutions, and work independently. At the same time, you have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner. As a person, you are empathetic and can quickly understand someone else's perspective or situation. You need to have the ability to adapt methods and approaches according to whom you meet. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Since a large part of your tasks involves communication and documentation, good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form is required. Knowledge of other languages than Swedish is an advantage.

A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement.
