Summer Job as a Team Leader for Music-Interested Youth

During the summer, the youth of Partille municipality have the opportunity to work and gain valuable work experience through various assignments in the municipality.

We are now looking for someone who wants to lead and inspire Partille's music-interested youth!

About the Position

As a team leader, you will be responsible for coordinating and mentoring a group of 6 youth at a time. During the summer, you will receive a total of two groups, each with a three-week period. Together, you will create and execute small music events throughout Partille municipality, performing at venues ranging from nursing homes to public squares.

You will plan and select the repertoire, conduct rehearsals, and ensure that each performance is a positive experience for both the youth and the audience. The role also involves transporting the group between performance locations, setting up and packing down equipment, and creating a safe and inclusive environment where the youth can gain a valuable first work experience.

The employment lasts from June 8 to July 24, and we would like you to participate in planning meetings during the spring. The youth start on June 16, and the week before, you will plan the summer and familiarize yourself with the venues where you will perform.

Qualifications

For the role of team leader, we require:

  • High school diploma
  • Driver's license (B) and driving experience
  • Experience playing instruments, singing, or playing in a band
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • A valid extract from the criminal record

If you also have experience working with youth, it is an advantage for the position.

We are looking for a reliable adult for our youth, who can both engage and set boundaries. You communicate clearly, can adapt your communication to engage the youth, and ensure that everyone is on board. We also see that you need to be flexible and able to handle situations that do not always go as planned, adjusting and finding solutions. Last but not least, you should enjoy and excel at collaborating.
