We are now looking for a support pedagogue who wants to help shape and develop the Bmss accommodation at Tanneskärsgatan 100, focusing on intellectual disabilities.

You and your colleagues will be involved in developing the operations and contributing to creating good conditions for the tenants. Are you looking for a varied job where you can take on significant responsibility? Then read on!

As a support pedagogue, you are responsible for driving processes around individual and pedagogical working methods that promote set goals for each tenant. You support and guide your colleagues in the pedagogical work ahead, and together you create long-term conditions for the tenants to have an independent and good life. You establish and follow up implementation plans together with the workgroup while ensuring that the tenants are involved in the planning. You see pedagogy as a collective responsibility where your task is not to dictate solutions but rather to involve your colleagues in deepening, enriching, and further developing the pedagogical methods in the unit. You collaborate with the unit manager, relatives, and networks, always with the individual's best interests as your compass.

You will be part of the pedagogical network established in the district where educators meet around current issues. You will also have close cooperation with the support pedagogue at Bolleskärsgatan 60 as the operations collaborate. The tasks also include providing tenants with individually tailored support in their daily lives. You stimulate and support them to participate in leisure activities and community life. You work motivatingly, coaching, and creating conditions for structure, participation, and self-determination based on each person's ability. You guide colleagues and lead the workgroup in a permissive and reflective learning environment. You guide the workgroup based on the needs and methods of the operations.

The working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. We base this on the needs of the operations and need to adjust working hours accordingly.

Qualifications

For the position of support pedagogue, a post-secondary specialization in the disability area is required, which includes at least 200 YH points, 120 university credits, or 60 university credits with two years of work experience with people with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent.

You have previous experience working as a support pedagogue and experience with intellectual and neuropsychiatric variations such as autism, ADHD/ADD. It is an advantage if you have training in AAC (alternative communication), ESL (independent living), MI (motivational interviewing). We also prefer that you have worked with individuals with complex needs.

If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test user Educateit.
