Recreation Leader for Dals-Ed Youth Activities

Dals-Ed Youth Activities

Dals-Ed's youth activities are a developing service. Our activities aim to promote, coordinate, and manage meaningful leisure time for young people so that Dals-Ed is perceived as an attractive municipality to live and grow in. We have an After School program a few afternoons a week at Hagaskolan's student café or at another location in the municipality. We plan and implement activities on our own but also in collaboration with other partners primarily targeting youth aged 13-15. These activities can take place in the afternoon, evening, or weekend. We also plan and conduct holiday activities during autumn break, sports break, Easter break, and summer break.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

In your role as a recreation leader, you will plan and implement activities for our children and youth together with our youth counselor. Our activities should be an exciting and vibrant meeting place for our youth. In the interaction, you inspire and challenge our youth to realize their creative ideas and support them in being involved in creating meaningful leisure time. The work involves both direct engagement with youth on-site and developing the activities in collaboration with various community actors. Working hours are mostly scheduled during the day/afternoon, but evening and weekend work also occurs. The scheduling of working hours is flexible and can change depending on the timing of activities. The position also includes night patrols during certain events throughout the year.

QUALIFICATIONS:

We are looking for someone with a recreation leader degree or other training that the employer deems relevant for the position. You have experience working with youth in open activities and experience working with participation and influence. It is also advantageous if you have other skills that can enrich the activities. To fit in the role, you take responsibility for your own and the shared tasks with the best interests of the activities and youth in focus. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role and base your work on everyone's equal value. You contribute new ideas and perspectives in work-related matters, have the ability to stimulate dialogue, and have an open mind for innovation. You are a reliable and stable adult and ensure a safe environment in the workplace for everyone present, whether they work there or are visitors. You are self-driven and take responsibility for structuring, planning, and driving the work while being outgoing, good at collaborating, curious, and attentive to your surroundings. You have good communication skills. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. A B driver's license is another requirement.

EMPLOYMENT TERMS:

  • Temporary employment until 2026-12-31
  • Start date as soon as possible
  • Employment rate 50%
  • Work scheduled for day, evening, weekend
