The dental care industry in Sweden is undergoing significant transformation. The competition for both patients and employees is increasing, and government dental care reforms are changing the conditions for all dental care actors. About the Role

The dental care manager reports directly to the dental care director and has overall responsibility for both general and specialist dental care, totaling 147 clinics, including five complete specialist houses.

You lead and develop the operations together with four direct-reporting area managers and the chief dentist, who together form the management group for general and specialist dental care.

The role entails overall responsibility from strategic direction to operational implementation.

You are responsible for operations, finances, and personnel and are part of the dental care management team, where you contribute to a holistic view with a focus on quality, patient safety, customer experience, business acumen, and resource efficiency.

With a strong patient and results focus, you lead the development, implementation, and follow-up of the organization's long-term strategies.

Central to the role is your confidence as a leader, where you challenge and coach your organization to act proactively and data-driven with a strong sense of responsibility. You have the courage to drive change.

You represent the organization both internally and externally and play an important role in developing collaborations and creating effective structures that lead to goal fulfillment.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Create good conditions for collaboration and coordination throughout the organization.
• Drive development to strengthen Folktandvården's competitiveness and increase market shares.
• Ensure modern, efficient structures and appropriate resource allocation for high customer satisfaction and good accessibility.
• Ensure data-driven decisions and digital development.
• Ensure close collaboration with Folktandvården's other assignments, R&D, and public health work, as well as with support functions.
• Be responsible for collaboration with trade unions.
• Lead and develop management structures to achieve strategic goals.

About You

We are looking for someone who wants to inspire, develop, and lead an organization with a significant societal mission. You have:

• Extensive experience in leading managers in a large and complex organization.
• Experience in change management – the ability to get an organization to think and act anew and pull in the same direction.
• Worked with qualified management and have documented experience in structuring, building, and leading organizations.
• Dentist degree with Swedish license.
• Good communication skills in speech and writing.
• A secure, coaching, and trust-based leadership style.
• Experience in leading digital transformation and implementing new technologies and methods to optimize operations.
• The ability to translate strategies into practical management and development.
• Experience working in a competitive environment and understanding of politically governed organizations.
• Good business acumen, with a solid overview of the dental care market.
