Do you want to lead food and cleaning services with overall responsibility in a municipality?

We are now looking for an interim operations manager for a municipality in Västra Götaland. In this role, you will be responsible for the areas of food and cleaning with overall responsibility for operations, staff, and finances. You will lead through managers and ensure a well-functioning operation with a focus on quality, service, and efficient resource utilization. The assignment involves driving development and improvement work in a politically governed organization as well as leading prioritized change initiatives within the operation.

Your tasks

You will lead through managers and work both strategically and operationally. The assignment involves ensuring a well-functioning operation while driving prioritized development initiatives.

You will be part of the management team of the administration and collaborate closely with functions such as finance, HR, communication, and operational management. There are also central support functions related to budgeting, monitoring, analysis, and reporting.

• Overall responsibility for operations, staff, and finances within food and cleaning, ensuring good service and delivery
• Lead and support unit managers in their tasks and be a cohesive link for collaboration and the overall picture
• Project and change lead prioritized development initiatives
• Develop effective and sustainable transport solutions for the meal service
• Be part of the management team and collaborate closely with support functions
• Lead collaboration with trade unions and safety organizations
• Be responsible for overarching contacts with internal customers and suppliers and contribute to procurement and purchasing
• Prepare decision-making materials and present matters in a politically governed organization as needed

Worth knowing

The assignment is full-time with a planned start in April and runs until the turn of the year. Remote work may occur by agreement with the head of the administration.

Our expectations

• University education in a relevant field, such as nutritionist, food economist, dietitian, or other education combined with experience deemed equivalent
• At least five years of experience as a manager with operational, budget, and personnel responsibility, as well as experience in developing staff
• Experience in leading other managers
• Training in project management or change management
• At least three years of experience in project management or change management
• Managerial experience from a politically governed organization
• Driving license B and access to a personal vehicle
