About us

We are now looking for a manager for the System Evaluation and Cybersecurity unit, which is part of the System and Product Safety department. The unit is in an exciting development phase to better meet the high demand in the area. The unit provides important services for both new and existing technical solutions and ensures that they are safe, robust, and comply with applicable legal requirements, which is crucial for industry, society, and Swedish competitiveness.

We ensure that future technology is safe and robust through certification, validation of systems, machines, products, and infrastructure. With specialist expertise in functional safety, AI, and cybersecurity, we also offer advice and training that make complex regulations understandable and usable.

With deep specialist knowledge in functional safety for embedded systems and machines, cybersecurity, and advanced testing and evaluation activities, we work to ensure the quality of everything from measuring instruments and data collection systems to taximeters, alarm systems, payment systems, and accounting centers for taxis.

The System and Product Safety department within the Security and Transport division conducts activities in research, education, testing, and certification that support the development of safe systems and products. We work with electrical safety, environmental resilience, functional safety, cybersecurity, AI, machine safety, robust and resilient energy systems, and total defense.

As the manager of System Evaluation and Cybersecurity, you will be part of an expansive and dynamic department with great development potential, where collaboration is at the center. We are a committed team with a high ceiling, and you will have the opportunity to grow, learn, and contribute to socially important innovation every day.

About the role

As the Unit Manager, you will lead and develop the System Evaluation and Cybersecurity unit and have personnel responsibility for approximately 13 employees. You will work closely with our customers and partners and actively contribute to further developing our offerings. In collaboration with colleagues at RISE, you have a clear responsibility to strengthen our business, innovation capability, and development. Furthermore, you will lead the unit with a communicative and trustworthy leadership style, where you coach employees and are an important ambassador for RISE's culture and values.

The position is classified in a security class, which means you need to undergo a security clearance in accordance with the requirements of the Security Protection Act. A successful security clearance is a requirement for employment.

The location is Gothenburg or Borås, and we currently work based on a hybrid model. Travel is part of the job. Since our employees are located at RISE's sites in both Gothenburg and Borås, physical presence in labs and offices is an important part of the work.

Who are you?

You are a business-minded and trustworthy leader who confidently and passionately coaches your employees towards common goals. Through a communicative and responsive leadership style, you create a work environment characterized by trust, collaboration, and development. You have good collaboration skills and understand that the best results are achieved when we work together.

You work closely with our customers and actively contribute to further developing our offerings, aiming to deliver good results, both qualitative and quantitative.

Furthermore, you have the ability to build engaged and productive teams by developing and enabling your employees to reach their full potential. By creating conditions for collaboration, delegating responsibility, and promoting a culture where feedback is a natural part of everyday life, you strengthen both individual and group development.
