Unit Manager for Medical Treatment and Digital Aids

We are now looking for a unit manager for medical treatment and digital aids at the Assistive Technology Center in Skövde.

About the position

As a unit manager for medical treatment and digital aids at the Assistive Technology Center, you will lead and work with your employees to develop the operations within the units.

Your main areas of responsibility:

  • Be responsible for the daily operations and delivery of the units and follow up on team results and goals
  • Work on the development of the teams' assignments through production planning and efficiency improvements
  • Personnel and work environment responsibility
  • Be responsible for the units' finances and budget work
  • Be responsible for competence supply and development within the teams.

Your personnel responsibility includes about 16 employees across two different units that currently have different needs and conditions. Within the medical unit, we work with advice, preventive, remedial, and emergency maintenance, as well as restoring medical aids for reuse. In the digital unit, we work with advice, preventive and remedial maintenance, as well as restoring digital aids for reuse. Both units provide technical support via phone. Technicians and assistive technology consultants with nursing backgrounds work in the units.

As we experience an increased need for medical and digital aids among our residents, we look forward to the units growing further to meet the demand.

You will report to the department manager and be part of the local management team, where you contribute and are active in the strategic work to achieve our goals and meet our customers' expectations. In addition to your immediate manager, you will have support from fellow managers, process leaders, and an HR and finance function.

Your placement is at the Assistive Technology Center in Skövde.

About us

At the Assistive Technology Center, we have over 300 employees who procure, assess, maintain, store, and reuse aids for mobility impairments, cognitive support, and communication, as well as aids for medical treatment. We are located in four locations in the region. In Skövde, about 90 employees work, and our operations are in an expansive phase with a strong focus on development and future growth.

About you

We are looking for someone with previous experience working as a manager responsible for operations, finances, and personnel. You have a higher education in healthcare, rehabilitation, or another licensed profession. With your practical experience in medical treatment, you have a good understanding of what is required from the team and your employees. Furthermore, you have excellent computer skills and experience working with digital systems.

To succeed and thrive in the role, you need to be a confident leader who stands firm in your leadership and employer role. You have the ability to create trusting relationships and participation among your employees. With drive and curiosity, you work goal-oriented and dare to try new ways to develop the operations.
