We are now looking for a Business Manager for Härryda Municipality!

Härryda municipality has over 40,000 inhabitants and approximately 3,000 employees. The municipality borders the city of Gothenburg and is thus part of the Gothenburg region.

The municipality has a forward-leaning profile and has been recognized in several contexts for its quality work. Härryda has been designated Sweden's Super Municipality in the metropolitan class several times, won the award for Sweden's Growth Municipality 2024, and has been nominated for Sweden's Quality Municipality 2025. The municipality consistently ranks among the top ten in the ranking by the Swedish Enterprise.

Härryda is a distinct business municipality with around 5,400 companies operating across a wide range of industries. The largest sectors are consulting in law, finance, and technology, construction, trade, and logistics.

The political ambition is clear: Härryda Municipality should be Sweden's best business municipality. The business development work is led and coordinated by the business unit. The unit has competencies in areas such as business development, place development, and tourism. The unit is also responsible for the municipality's destination Råda Säteri.

About the Role

As the Business Manager, you will lead and develop the municipality's strategic work for a strong and sustainable business climate. You will drive the implementation of the business strategic program and play a central role in strengthening the municipality's attractiveness and creating favorable conditions for companies to establish, grow, and develop. You will also handle issues related to strategic establishments.

The assignment combines a strategic holistic perspective with a clear focus on implementation. You will be a natural conversation partner for businesses, administrative management, and political leadership on issues related to growth and development. You will build long-term relationships with companies and regional partners and contribute the business perspective to issues such as skills supply, urban planning, land readiness, infrastructure, and innovation.

In the role of Business Manager, you will be organizationally placed under the Deputy Municipal Director and work broadly with all of the municipality's operations. Together with your unit, consisting of four employees, you will drive work that is of great importance for the municipality's future development.

The assignment is outward-facing and involves many contact points and networks, where you serve as an important link between the municipality's organization and the local business community. As Business Manager, you will be part of the network for business managers in the Gothenburg region, driven by Business Region Göteborg (BRG).

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you have a good understanding of the conditions and drivers of the business sector, as well as how the municipality's assignments, processes, and decisions affect companies' opportunities to develop and conduct successful operations. You are comfortable in the municipal context and have experience working in or closely with municipal operations.

You have an academic degree in areas such as economics, social sciences, political science, urban planning, marketing, or another field that the employer deems relevant. Previous leadership experience is an advantage, as is experience in entrepreneurship or other relevant backgrounds from the business sector.
