Job Description

Have you previously worked as a unit manager in a care and nursing home and are now looking for new opportunities? Do you want to support an organization for a period and ensure that the needs of the tenants are met in the best possible way? Then we have the position for you!

The Elderly and Care and Nursing Committee is responsible for providing individually assessed interventions and generally directed interventions according to the Social Services Act for elderly people who need support and services due to age. Housing in a special accommodation form, home care, and day activities, as well as open activities such as meeting points, are examples of individually assessed interventions and generally directed interventions.

As a unit manager, you are responsible for ensuring that the tenants' needs for care and nursing as well as services are met. You have financial, employee, and work environment responsibilities. Together with your employees, you create a dynamic and good work environment characterized by trust-based leadership.

You are part of the area's management team consisting of the operations manager and other unit managers for the care and nursing homes in the urban area. You have various support functions from the administration such as finance, communication, and HR at your disposal.

You are attentive to the needs of the target group and engage your employees in quality work and the benefits that are provided for the target group. You are open to changes, actively take advantage of the opportunities that development provides, and remove obstacles for employees to think innovatively.

This is a consulting assignment at 100%. Work may occur during the day, evening, and weekend. The start of the assignment is immediate and will continue until 2026-08-31, with a chance for extension for an additional 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility: You have full financial, employee, and work environment responsibility for your unit.
• Leadership: You represent the employer and inspire your employees to learn, develop, and participate in quality work.
• Collaboration: You are part of the urban area's management team and collaborate closely with the operations manager, other unit managers, and support functions within HR and finance.
• Development: You drive the organization towards set goals and ensure that laws, agreements, and policies are followed.

Qualifications

• University education with at least 120 higher education credits in care and nursing, social work, or behavioral science. Alternatively, another university education that the employer deems equivalent.
• Previous experience working as a unit manager in a similar organization.
• Good knowledge of the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL).
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.
