About the Position

We are now looking for an engaged interim manager for a public sector organization in Gothenburg. In your role as interim manager, you will be involved in leading and developing a healthcare and social services organization forward while combining leadership with employer responsibilities.

You will be part of an engaged management team and have access to professional support from finance, HR, and communications functions. The assignment as interim manager is characterized by close collaboration, significant responsibility, and the opportunity to make a tangible difference for the organization.

The position includes the following tasks:

  • Create clarity in the assignment and plan the work together with employees.
  • Ensure good working conditions and stable operations in the organization.
  • Be attentive to the needs of the people the organization serves.
  • Engage and involve employees in quality work and development.
  • Encourage new ideas and actively seize opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage changes in a constructive and pedagogical manner.

  • Lead by example and follow guidelines, regulations, and common working methods.

Assignment Period and Scope:

The position as interim manager is a full-time consulting assignment starting as soon as possible and is expected to last until 2026-08-31, with the possibility of extension for up to three (3) months.

Requirements for the Position:

  • University education of at least 120 credits in healthcare and social services, social work, or behavioral sciences, or other equivalent education.
  • Documented experience from at least one assignment of similar nature.
  • Good knowledge of the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL).
  • One (1) reference assignment must be provided, with contact details for a referee who can confirm that the assignment was of similar nature.
  • Ability to participate in interviews on February 27, 2026, and March 4, 2026.
  • Can work during the entire requested time period: immediately – 2026-08-31, with the possibility of extension for up to 3 months.
  • Can work during the day, evening, and weekend according to the needs of the assignment.
  • Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
