Job Responsibilities
Are you a driven and experienced leader who wants to take on a key role in shaping the future of Gothenburg? We are looking for a unit manager who can lead and develop our unit for new investments, reinvestments, and long-term maintenance of the administration's facilities and land.
In your role as unit manager, you will be the project owner for the unit's projects. In the project owner role, you will ensure and quality assure the project managers' responsibilities for planning and executing investment and reinvestment projects of various contents and complexities. The unit is also responsible for the long-term maintenance of the administration's facilities and land, as well as managing, developing, and leasing the administration's land and buildings. You, along with your employees, will be responsible for ensuring that there are long-term investment and maintenance plans and driving sustainability efforts within the department.
As a unit manager, you will be part of the management team for the property and urban development department and work to create a good working environment for the staff with warmth and professionalism. You will be responsible for leading and developing the unit, as well as ensuring that operations are conducted within established financial frameworks and towards set goals.

You will be responsible for developing and promoting working methods that support a city-wide perspective and have primary responsibility for the assignments in your unit from start to handover, with many contact points with various stakeholders. In your assignment, you are expected to plan your unit's operations to ensure that there is coverage and assignments in the short and long term.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- Relevant higher education or university degree in areas such as construction, economics, engineering, law, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
- Several years of leadership experience in project management and project control within the construction and real estate industry, preferably in the public sector
- Several years of leadership experience with budget, operational, and personnel responsibility
- Knowledge and experience of legal frameworks such as LOU, PBL, and work environment regulations
- Knowledge of contract and rental law (meritorious)

We see that you are development-oriented, take initiative based on the needs you identify, and have good experience collaborating with trade unions. We also see that you have a good ability to create a holistic perspective and thrive in a complex operation with many stakeholders and politically governed processes. Additionally, you have experience in culture and values work, coaching and trust-based leadership, and goal- and results-oriented operations.
