We are looking for a temporary cultural producer focused on exhibitions and programs

You will be part of the public culture unit and, together with the team, be responsible for the operations at Stallbacken culture.

The public culture unit's work is based in Edsvik, with Edsberg Castle and Stallbacken culture, where we conduct exhibition activities, program activities, and the Creative Workshop for children. The mission includes increasing accessibility to and participation in culture in all parts of the municipality.

The public culture unit is a small unit where we work in teams, the tasks can vary, and an unpretentious collaboration is a natural part of everyday life.

Examples of tasks (may vary based on the needs of the operation):

• Plan and implement art exhibitions at Stallbacken culture.
• Assist colleagues with questions regarding the municipality's art collection and public art.
• Plan and implement program activities for adults at Stallbacken culture and Edsberg Castle.
• Be responsible for marketing exhibitions and programs on social media and other platforms.
• Share responsibility as a web editor with a colleague.
• Staff exhibitions and events as needed.
• Share administrative tasks with other employees in the unit.
• Work evenings and weekends as needed, averaging one Saturday or Sunday per month.

Qualifications

• Experience in exhibition activities and independently curating and hanging exhibitions.
• Experience in program activities within various art fields (concerts, theater, lectures).
• Experience in marketing on social media.
• Experience working with art in a politically governed organization.
• Practical or theoretical academic degree in art or equivalent.

Personal qualities

You easily create good relationships and communicate professionally, both internally and externally. You enjoy working with others and actively contribute to the team's work.

You work in a structured manner and ensure that processes move forward. You are meticulous, goal-oriented, and have a good understanding of the quality requirements that apply. Additionally, you plan your work well and meet the deadlines set.
