Signals Protection Officer for the Systems Section

The Swedish Armed Forces' Telecommunications and Information Systems Unit (FMTIS) is seeking a Signals Protection Officer for the Systems Section. The Systems Section is part of FMTIS Command Support Unit and provides support regarding signals protection services to the Headquarters.

To succeed in the role of Signals Protection Officer, you should be both technically interested and service-oriented. You will be the one who knows the technology best, and one of your main tasks will be to educate and support others.

Main Responsibilities

As a Signals Protection Officer, you will work with signals protection materials. This means you will receive and distribute materials as well as provide training and support to users. You will also prepare and maintain materials through configuration work, updates, and functionality testing.

There are great opportunities for training and deepening your knowledge within the role. Over time, you will build deep expertise and have the chance to contribute to development.

In connection with the systems, you will also study current and upcoming technology. You will read and present the latest instructions and technical orders for the systems you are responsible for. You and your colleagues will have full control over the status of the materials, as well as what the Systems Section can contribute regarding support to the Headquarters.

The training required for the position will be provided by the Swedish Armed Forces.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent competence, such as a comprehensive transcript or vocational training
  • Good computer skills and experience working or studying with word processing programs, such as Microsoft Word or equivalent programs
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

DESIRABLE

  • Previous experience handling classified information
  • Previous experience in Logistics and Material Management
  • Previous experience working in Signals Protection
  • Previous experience working within the Armed Forces, another authority, or defense-related companies
  • Administrative experience in creating training materials, instructions, manuals, or equivalent
  • Experience in project management
  • Completed military training, conscription, or experience from the Armed Forces' voluntary activities
  • Driver's license B

Other

The position is a civilian role with permanent employment but can also be applied for by those with military training. The position starts with a six-month probationary period if you are not already working within the authority.

Work location: Stockholm (Enköping). Working hours: Mainly daytime, 40-hour week. Start date according to agreement. Individual salary setting applies.
