In the adapted primary school, students with intellectual disabilities attend. We are now looking for several teaching assistants for our operations. The students have significant support needs in terms of both knowledge development and social interaction.
The school's working team includes teachers and support staff who work together based on the students' conditions and needs.
We are now looking for several teaching assistants with varying forms of employment and degrees of engagement, depending on the student base we receive for the autumn term.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a teaching assistant in an adapted primary school, you play an important role in providing our students with a good school experience where each individual student can develop to reach their full potential based on their own conditions.
The role of the teaching assistant is to be close to and support the students throughout the school day and during leisure time. As a teaching assistant, you work closely with educators and other teaching assistants. Therefore, high demands are placed on good collaboration skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with experience working with students in adapted primary schools, or alternatively other experience that the employer finds equivalent.
You have a relevant educational background at least at the high school level or other training that the employer assesses as equivalent. Several years of relevant work experience can compensate for the educational requirement.
We see that you are attentive, take initiative, and easily build relationships. Additionally, you find it easy to collaborate and take pride in your work.
We place great importance on personal suitability.

Background Check
To work in preschool, school, and youth and leisure activities, you must, according to the law on background checks, provide a background extract from the police's criminal record. You must request the extract from the National Police Board using the form "Extract from the Criminal Record" available on the police's website.
Probationary employment may occur.
