Bregårdsskolan for grades 4-6 is part of the school administration and is located in the central part of Karlskoga. We have about 165 students. Our unit shares a building with Bregårdsskolan for grades 7-9. Together, we have about 500 students. Those of us who work at Bregårdsskolan 4-6 are a well-functioning and open team. We have quick access to decision-making and a culture where we support, complement, and learn from each other. We value our colleagues and the trust we have in one another.

We work in a three-teacher system where three teachers share mentorship for two classes, and the municipality's common action plans in language and mathematics form the basis for our teaching to enhance students' chances of succeeding in their education. We also work to develop students' participation and influence through UNICEF's model for a rights-based school. Every student leaving Bregårdsskolan should have good knowledge and social skills to make choices in life.

As a craft teacher with us, you will share a space with craft colleagues in grades 7-9. You will collaborate on the functions of the space and consider each other's schedules and needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will teach crafts in grades 3-6. The organization may have flexibility regarding the scope of the position, 75-100%.

Your responsibilities include:

• planning, implementing, and following up on the teaching in the subjects you are responsible for
• analyzing teaching and results
• parent contacts
• contributing to school development
• collaborating with the student health team, school management, and external parties
• school-wide values work
• teamwork
• working and documenting in the operational systems available

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a certified craft teacher with the qualification to teach crafts for grades 3-6.

You are a confident and clear leader in the classroom and have an easy time establishing and maintaining good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You value and contribute to good collaboration by having an open, accommodating, and problem-solving approach. You are structured and have the ability to plan, organize, and analyze students' learning and your teaching structure effectively to achieve desired results.

To contribute to the school's ongoing digital development, you are expected to possess good IT skills and easily adapt to digital systems. Furthermore, you master the Swedish language in such a way that you can communicate with students, colleagues, and guardians, as well as document what the operations require in writing.

If you have experience working as a teacher after graduation, language development methods, or Swedish as a second language, it is an advantage.

Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
