Your New Job

At Råslätt School, we have five age-integrated leisure home departments: grades F-2 Safiren, Rubinen, and Smaragden, and grades 3-6 Diamanten and Kristallen. We have approximately 190 students enrolled in the leisure home. As a leisure home teacher, you will meet our students throughout their day, where the complementary education of the leisure home is an important part of the assignment. Your planning time as a leisure home teacher is scheduled during school hours. Råslätt School has a high proportion of qualified teachers in the leisure home.

In your role as a leisure home teacher, you will be responsible for the pedagogical work in the leisure home together with your colleagues. You will plan, implement, and follow up on activities that strengthen the connection to the curriculum goals and other governing documents in the primary school's assignment. Your task also includes ensuring that the leisure home is a valuable complement to the students' schooling, creating a good learning environment that develops students' abilities, social development, and self-confidence, as well as building trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

Welcome to Us

Råslätt School is one of the municipality's larger F-6 schools located in the Råslätt district in the southern parts of Jönköping. In the surrounding area, there are great opportunities for activities such as forest and nature, swimming pools, sports fields, ice rinks, activity arenas, and football fields with artificial grass. The school is multicultural and currently has about 490 students and approximately 85 employees. Together, we work to create a workplace where everyone thrives and develops. Here, you will work alongside engaged and competent colleagues who focus on students' learning and development. The work at the schools is led by a principal and two assistant principals.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who is a trained teacher with a teaching license for work in the leisure home, or if you have not yet received your teaching license, or are in the final stages of your education. You should also be well-grounded in the primary school's assignment and its governing documents. You have a good ability to build relationships with both students, guardians, and colleagues. You are flexible and consider the overall needs and development of the organization. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, have basic IT skills, and are accustomed to documenting and analyzing your work. Experience working with multilingual students is considered an asset. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Good to Know

Before hiring new employees for our teaching positions, we must ensure that there is a valid teaching license. Therefore, we ask you to attach a current teaching license obtained from the Swedish National Agency for Education within the last two months.
