Job Description

We are looking for a career and guidance counselor who wants to make a vital difference - are you one of them?

For us, the position of career and guidance counselor is crucial based on the students we work with. Most students have very little knowledge of the opportunities available in the labor market, and you are the one who provides them with the information they need about the professions and career choices for the future.

Your role includes conducting motivating guidance conversations both individually and in groups, external contacts within the labor market, and being part of the transition process.

You work closely with our teachers and treatment staff, with a particular focus on motivation and guidance, essentially being the spider in the web between school/treatment and the student's future goals.

To succeed in the role of career and guidance counselor with us, you need to be an open person who easily builds trusting relationships with others, instills security, and possesses humility towards the assignment. Therefore, you need to be a warm, empathetic person driven by a strong inner passion and a desire to achieve extraordinary results.

You easily see the big picture but can also focus on parts and details to achieve results. You enjoy working systematically and well-planned but can be flexible when needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree as a career and guidance counselor. The following qualifications are desired:

• A good view of students - where the equal value of all people is a given and you have cultural awareness.
• Awareness of the world, innovative thinking, and a clear student focus are keywords you are expected to help realize in daily work.
• Pedagogical insight - where you have a good understanding of the school's goals and governing documents.
• Relationship-building and empathetic ability as you recognize that relationships are the foundation for the student's development and lay the groundwork for coaching the student.
• Ability to collaborate while also being able to work independently, structured, and take initiatives.
• You are stable, possess personal maturity, integrity, and clarity.
• Persistent - you do not give up easily but believe in the youth and their abilities to succeed in their learning and treatment, so that the youth will succeed in the future.

Previous experience as a career and guidance counselor and working in youth care is an advantage.

A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement.

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time position and begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
