We are looking for someone who is well-planned, structured, and genuinely interested in the students' learning. Your focus is to create relationships with each student to harness their curiosity and drive. You are a safe and clear leader regardless of the learning environment, and you are able to adapt teaching both at the group and individual level. You find it easy to collaborate and create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are also driven, creative, and engaged, take initiative, and want to help develop the operations.

At Hordas school unit, we are looking for a primary school teacher for the after-school program. We offer you a stimulating job in an after-school program and school, with dedicated and competent colleagues.

You should be an after-school teacher who is well-planned and who also takes opportunities for teaching and interaction in the moment. You should be able to challenge and inspire students to new discoveries in various learning environments, both indoors and outdoors. You should be able to develop students' imagination and ability to learn together with others through play, movement, and creativity, as well as through various forms of expression and working methods. In this way, you ensure that students have the opportunity to develop their personal qualities and their ability to collaborate and communicate.

In your planning work, you take great consideration of the students' opinions and thoughts about the operations and ensure that they are involved. You have a good ability to meet all students' needs for an active and valuable leisure time. You and the after-school team work closely with the student health team to develop teaching for all students, including those in need of adjustments and those in need of special support.

During the school year, we will continue the professional development for staff regarding various aspects of teaching. Through quality work, we strive to increase students' reading comprehension, develop students' opportunities for accessible teaching, and ensure safety and study peace.

Hordas school has about 90 students, and in the school area, there is also Rydaholms school, which has about 180 students. Both schools are primary schools with students from preschool class up to grade 6.

Responsibilities

Teaching in the after-school program/club and responsibility for teaching physical education and health both in lower and middle school. Participate in driving the development work towards a relationship-based after-school program. Collaboration and co-planning with other educators in the after-school program and in the school, as well as in networks, are included. Some administrative tasks are also part of the assignment.

Qualifications

You are a licensed primary school teacher with a focus on after-school programs/physical education and health. Experience in teaching or other experience from work/practice in after-school programs/schools is an advantage. You should have a good understanding of the after-school program's mission and governing documents. You have well-regarded leadership qualities. Furthermore, you as an applicant have good IT skills and are used to using digital tools in daily work.
