Accountant Needed at the County Administrative Board of Uppsala

Do you want to work with accounting in a broad organization where you contribute to the development of Uppsala County? We are looking for a driven accountant who wants to work with varied tasks in an inspiring environment where you, together with your colleagues, provide support to the agency's managers and employees.

Human Resources and Finance Unit

The unit consists of three functions (HR, finance, and procurement) that provide qualified support to the agency's managers and employees. The finance function is responsible for the economic administrative processes of the County Administrative Board, which include both operational and strategic issues and is led by the Chief Financial Officer. The function consists of three accountants and a Chief Financial Officer.

We are now looking for a substitute for our accountant who is on parental leave.

Job Responsibilities

As an accountant, you are the natural support in financial matters for managers and employees. You will work with our ongoing accounting and perform reconciliations. You will also handle payments, customer invoicing, and reminder management. You will also work on developing our routines and working methods within ongoing accounting as well as other tasks within the finance function.

The County Administrative Board uses the State Service Center for handling purchases and supplier invoices.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an educational background in finance or equivalent experience as assessed by the employer. You have relevant experience working with accounting at a government agency and experience with the accounting system UNIT4 ERP.

Experience working with accounting at a County Administrative Board is an advantage. It is also advantageous if you have worked in the invoicing management system Visma Proceedo and in the case management system Platina.

As a person, you work in a structured manner by taking responsibility for your own work and organizing it effectively. You are also flexible and can adapt to changing conditions. The work involves many contacts where you provide support in a service-oriented manner, and you are attentive and have good collaboration skills. You represent the County Administrative Board in a trustworthy manner. We place great importance on your personal qualities.

Conditions

The employment is a fixed-term position, a substitute with a start date of April 1 or by agreement, lasting until August 31, 2027, at the latest. Your job title at the agency will be case officer.
