The Legal Unit

We work with, among other things, permit, supervision, and appeal cases according to a large number of different legislations, e.g.

• environmental,
• traffic,
• planning and building,
• alcohol,
• tobacco,
• food, and public order legislation.

We also work to educate and support our other colleagues at the County Administrative Board in administrative law, in addition to providing legal support and advice. Our unit consists of employees with legal expertise as well as expertise in diary and registration.

Job Responsibilities

With us, you will have a stimulating position with engaged colleagues where you work closely with operations. Your tasks are varied. You collaborate internally on issues regarding environmental law and planning and building law. Your responsibilities include processing cases and providing legal support to other parts of the County Administrative Board.

Qualifications

You have a law degree and several years of relevant experience in qualified legal work, of which at least two years in the public sector. Experience with the types of cases handled by the County Administrative Board is an advantage. Furthermore, good knowledge of public access and secrecy legislation and general administrative law, as well as experience in providing internal legal support, is meritorious. Notary qualification or equivalent professional experience from the courts is also advantageous.

As a person, you are driven, structured, and can work independently and results-oriented. You are meticulous and have a good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing. You are also attentive, have an easy time collaborating with others, and can adapt to new situations.

You represent the County Administrative Board in a trustworthy manner. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Conditions

The employment is temporary starting from May 2026 or by agreement for one year. Your job title at the authority will be case officer.

Security clearance with a background check will be conducted according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) before a hiring decision is made. In some cases, Swedish citizenship is required.
