Regulatory Officer at the Swedish Medical Products Agency

We at the Regulatory Unit are looking for a new colleague who wants to help ensure that approved medicines are safe and effective.

Our Operations

The Regulatory Unit is part of the Licensing Department. We are about 50 employees divided into three groups: new applications, amendments, and follow-up group. We are responsible for regulatory investigations, advice, and coordination of new applications, amendments, and renewals of marketing authorizations. We are now looking for a regulatory officer for the follow-up group.

Your Responsibilities

As a regulatory officer, you will be responsible for the regulatory assessment of applications and act as a regulatory expert for certain types of cases. The role includes answering and guiding in regulatory questions internally and externally. You will have a coordinating role for each individual case within the Swedish Medical Products Agency, with pharmaceutical companies and authorities in Europe. You will be responsible for managing several cases simultaneously. The work therefore places high demands on your ability to lead, coordinate, plan, and communicate. You will ensure that investigations are conducted on time, in good collaboration with expert functions, according to applicable laws and guidelines, and that the results are communicated and documented correctly. The work also includes administration such as schedules, templates, and quality review of documentation.

Your Background

You have a pharmaceutical or biomedical university education. You have a very good ability to absorb information and express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English. You generally have good IT skills with a strong ability to familiarize yourself with new systems. We prefer candidates with experience in regulatory procedures. Relevant experience from a government agency in recent years is considered an asset.

You are flexible and solution-oriented and remain open to changing conditions and situations. You have a very good ability to prioritize, structure, and complete work within established timeframes. You are attentive and enjoy collaborating with others for common results. You have a very good ability to compile and structure information and can communicate it in a trustworthy manner.
