About the assignment

We at Novare are a proud and approved supplier of the governmental framework agreement in Sweden. We are now looking for an accountant for a governmental agency in Uppsala.

As an accountant at the agency, you will work with accounting, bookkeeping, monthly closings, and reconciliations. You will be an important part of the daily work, and together with your colleagues, you will work towards set goals.

For this role, we are looking for someone who is attentive, meticulous, positive, and responsible. You find it easy to collaborate with others and have a good sense of service.

Requirements for the position

• higher education in economics or equivalent education (for example, vocational college)
• at least three years of work experience in accounting - alternatively, high school or equivalent education in the relevant field and five years of work experience as an accountant
• good knowledge of MS Office and Excel
• experience in governmental accounting
• ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Desirable qualifications for the position

• good knowledge of the accounting system Unit 4 Agresso
• good knowledge of Proceedo
• able to provide a reference from a similar assignment.

Assignment period and scope

The assignment is full-time with an expected start date of 2026-03-11 and until 2026-09-10, with the possibility of extension for 6 months. The placement is at the agency in Uppsala, with some opportunity for remote work.
