Unit's Mission

Our main mission is to equip, match, and support job seekers on their way to employment and/or studies, as well as assist employers in finding workforce, thereby contributing to skills supply and a functioning labor market. Our mission also includes conducting work-oriented rehabilitation in the form of guiding, investigating, rehabilitating, or job-preparatory interventions.

The unit is divided into several sections, all responsible for ensuring the unit's ability to achieve set goals and expected results.

Job Description

Our mission is to handle cases in a legally secure manner, which requires accuracy and adherence to the regulations governing our operations and mission. You can handle both positive and negative decisions in a correct and respectful manner. You possess good communication skills both verbally and in writing, can explain regulations, and adapt your language to the situation. You find it natural to meet and build value-creating relationships with job seekers and employers in face-to-face meetings as well as over the phone.

You will work with:

  • Informing and communicating about the Swedish Public Employment Service's mission, services, and rights and obligations to job seekers and employers.
  • Assessing the needs for support of job seekers and employers, defining goals, establishing action plans, and following up to ensure they are relevant.
  • Providing basic guidance on the labor market, educational pathways, and managing and delivering relevant information to internal and external parties.
  • Documenting information securely and acting according to relevant regulations, agreements, and processes.
  • Gathering and assessing necessary information to decide on interventions or programs.

Focus on SIUS (Special Support Person for Introduction and Follow-up Support)

SIUS is a program for job seekers with disabilities who need individual support to find, get, or retain employment. The job in SIUS involves close collaboration with employers in both the private and public sectors, often on-site, which requires you to travel for work using public transport or a company car.

Basic Requirements for the Position

  • University/higher education of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits according to the previous system)
  • Alternatively, you have been employed as an employment officer at the Swedish Public Employment Service and are assessed to have good prospects of meeting today's requirements for employment officers
  • At least 2 years of work experience, collectively working at least 50% over a total of 2 years
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, meaning a good ability to communicate in speech and writing, as well as high reading comprehension
  • B driver's license

Other Qualifications for the Position

  • Experience working with work-oriented rehabilitation for individuals with various disabilities
  • Experience working with authority exercise
  • Experience and knowledge of collaboration with other actors, such as employers, authorities, municipalities, complementary actors, and healthcare institutions
