Government Accounting, Financing, and Teamwork
As an accountant at the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, you have a central role in the agency's financial work. We who work in the Accounting area are responsible for the closing process and financial reporting, including reporting to the state accounts. We work to develop the agency's external and internal accounting and ensure that the agency correctly applies the government accounting principles. In addition to ongoing accounting, advising and standardization in financing and accounting issues is a significant part of the assignment.
You are responsible for qualified financing and accounting issues and provide expert support, sometimes in untested areas in connection with new and additional assignments. In your work, you will have both external and internal contacts, and you need to have a consultative and trustworthy working approach. You enjoy delving into governing documents and regulations and translating these into clear and well-motivated accounting solutions. You are confident in making independent assessments and can pedagogically explain your positions to different target groups. You will work in a competent and engaged team where collaboration and knowledge sharing are central.
Your responsibilities include
- Working with ongoing and qualified accounting tasks and participating in the closing process
- Ensuring that the accounting follows applicable government regulations
- Developing and being responsible for guidelines and standardization within your area of responsibility
- Providing consultative support in accounting issues to managers and operations
- Independently preparing and responding to referrals and other materials
- Participating in and driving the development and improvement of financial processes and internal routines.
The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a high security awareness.

We are looking for someone who
- has an academic degree or experiences/qualifications that can be deemed equivalent
- has at least three years of experience in qualified accounting work, including work with closing and annual accounts within a larger organization or authority
- has experience in implementing plans and processes and ensuring that they maintain high quality
- has a systematic and meticulous working method
- acts on their own initiative and takes responsibility for achieving good results
- can understand and analyze complex issues
- has good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
It is meritorious if you
- have very good knowledge of the government regulations in the accounting area and how to apply them
- have experience in leading change and development work within the accounting area.

Other
1 position, permanent, full-time, with start date by agreement. A probationary period may be relevant.
