As a therapist/guidance counselor at the adult investigation unit, you will have the opportunity to contribute to important and meaningful social work. We are a cutting-edge unit, and as the first municipality in the country, we introduced a mobile motivation team in 2019, which means that social workers and therapists/guidance counselors work closely together in everyday work for the benefit of the residents. Follow-ups of the work have been conducted annually and show positive results, and residents seek support from the adult investigation unit.

We are 33 employees distributed among unit manager, senior social worker, specialist administrators, social workers, HVB coordinators, therapists/guidance counselors, and administrators. The unit works with the target group of adults over 18 years with harmful use or dependence, individuals in need of protection or interventions related to threats of violence (not VINR), dropouts, and/or with other social problems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a therapist/guidance counselor within the Mobile Motivation Team, you will work proactively, coordinating, guiding, motivating, and contributing to those we meet being able to access care.

• You will work closely with the responsible social worker, colleagues within the mobile motivation team, the municipality's internal efforts, and other care providers.
• You will be an important part of the investigation process, as well as receive assignments in the form of supportive interventions.
• Your role also includes providing support to residents placed in the unit's social housing and some supervision in these accommodations.
• You are an important part of the development work that is ongoing based on the New Social Services Act.

You will be assigned a mentor and participate in our introductory program.

We offer close leadership and structured forums, accessible colleague support, and supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS

Formal competencies:

• Post-secondary education, e.g., as a behavioral scientist, social pedagogue, treatment assistant, or another education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• Driver's license B.
