Norrbergets servicebostad is part of the Functional Support area in the Welfare sector. Here you will work closely with your colleagues, your unit manager, and other partners.

Norrbergets servicebostad offers housing and support to individuals covered by the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). The overarching goal of the law is for individuals to live like everyone else without being limited by their disabilities. Here, you will work with your colleagues to provide the best possible living conditions for the residents of Norrberget.

Your mission

Your tasks will include helping and supporting residents based on their individual needs and wishes, according to approved assistance. The work is based on established implementation plans and goals. Your responsibilities will include providing support in all household tasks such as planning, personal hygiene, clothing care, laundry, cleaning, nutrition, cooking, shopping, finances, medication, social training, and leisure and cultural activities. Other important tasks include developing and maintaining individual abilities and communication, as well as supporting residents' self-determination and personal integrity. With the help of a motivating and low-stress working method, we create and maintain conditions for quality of life, safety, and joy based on each individual's own definition.

Working hours are currently scheduled during days, evenings, and weekends and are continuously adjusted according to the needs of the operations.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained support assistant, or has a degree from a health and care program or other education/experience that we consider equivalent. Experience in individual-focused work or educational work is a significant plus – and if you have worked with clear pedagogical methods, we see that as valuable.

As a person, you have a natural ability to create safety and trust. You meet people with a low-stress approach and can handle various and sometimes complex expressions calmly and professionally. You are resilient, collaborate well with others, and contribute to a positive work environment.

When the situation requires it, you can make independent decisions, while respectfully and attentively following common guidelines and carrying out work on behalf of others. You have a holistic perspective in your work and a good ability to plan, structure, and prioritize. Personal maturity and responsibility are important qualities in this role.

As an employee, you are expected to actively contribute to quality development and safety in the operations by seeking new knowledge, initiating improvements, and reporting any deficiencies.

Documentation and communication are part of the work, which requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. A B driver's license is a requirement for the position.
